Rubber Moulded Washers

A rubber washer is a ring made from rubber used in a vast array of mechanical devices. They are used to prevent vibration from spreading from one part to another, reducing noise levels, to make something such as a bolt fit tighter, or to prevent rubbing or leaking.

When tolerance on a seal is paramount, a washer has to be moulded to avoid the discrepancies present in die-cut washers, due to the washers being punched out of a large rubber sheet. The tolerance on extruded sheet manufacturing is far greater than with custom injection or compression moulded sheet.
