Isolation is the prevention of vibration entering a system. These are usually in the form of “rubber to metal bondings” and the amount of isolation can be controlled with the shore hardness property of the proposed rubber. For effective vibration isolation, the isolator natural frequency should be <50%.  Standard isolators  are manufactured invariably from natural rubber. SRM has the ability to manufacture using a host of materials and can knowing the application, design a specific compound to suit your bespoke environment. Isolators are used in the pumping industry. They can have engines mounted on them and bolted to rigid surfaces.
