Medical Grade Rubber Moulding

At SRM we have been producing Medical Grade Rubber Moulding from day one. We have extensive industry knowledge and a wealth of experience.

We are set up for clean environment Silicone production and comply with medical guidelines and industry standards.

Outer body products

At SRM we exclusively produce outer body products and components (not inner body). Products we have supplied include:

  • Silicone button covers for machinery
  • Buffers and seals for cleaning machinery
  • Parts for environment-based apparatus (e.g. air pumps on blood pressure apparatus)

The medical industry demands Silicone-based products. Silicone is a clean product and contains no impurities, it can also withstand boiling water and sterilisation whilst maintaining its integrity. At SRM we can produce both compression or injection mouldings in Silicone, depending on volume and application.

We have dedicated clean environment areas and hold medical-approved Silicone in stock.

The importance of using medical grade materials in healthcare solutions

When it comes to healthcare solutions, the use of high-quality materials is paramount. Medical grade rubber moulding ensures that the products meet the stringent standards required for safety and performance in healthcare settings. Unlike regular rubber, medical grade rubber is specifically formulated to be non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and resistant to chemicals and microbial growth. These properties make it ideal for applications such as medical device components, seals, gaskets, and surgical instruments.

The use of medical grade materials not only ensures the well-being of patients but also enhances the overall efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare solutions. Medical grade rubber moulding provides a reliable and consistent manufacturing process, resulting in products that are free from defects and inconsistencies. This level of quality control is crucial in healthcare, where even the slightest error can have severe consequences. By utilising medical grade rubber moulding, healthcare providers can have peace of mind knowing that their products meet the highest standards of safety and performance.

Advantages of medical grade rubber moulding

Medical grade rubber moulding offers a myriad of advantages that set it apart from other materials used in healthcare solutions. Firstly, its exceptional durability ensures that products can withstand the demanding environments of healthcare settings. Whether it's exposure to harsh chemicals or repeated sterilisation, medical grade rubber moulding maintains its integrity and functionality over time. This longevity translates into cost savings for healthcare providers, as they can rely on products that have a longer lifespan.

Additionally, medical grade rubber moulding offers excellent resistance to temperature extremes, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Whether it's cold storage or autoclave sterilisation, medical grade rubber can withstand extreme temperatures without losing its properties. This reliability is crucial in healthcare, where temperature-sensitive products and instruments are used daily.
